Micah Mangione, CEO of Connect-AI, first started in IT in 2003. Since then he has gone on to develop applications and build software systems for large institutions like Arizona State University (Bio Optical Nanotechnology Lab, Biodesign Institute, SpaceTREx Laboratory, School of Earth and Space Exploration) and enterprises like Cart.com, UnitedWeb, Nextiva, SiteLock, Endurance International, Google, as well as dozens of small and mid-sized businesses. Micah has delivered over 100 successful software projects in every role from a Staff Programmer to Project Manager to President.

Micah has a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from ASU and is working towards his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence for Robotics in Extreme Environments at the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. Micah is the current Director of AI & ML Engineering at Cart.com where he is responsible for developing the next generation of machine learning tools to help customers and merchants have a more fulfilling experience in e-commerce. He is also the CEO of Connect-AI - a novel AI startup focused on generative breaking news and content. Micah is going to talk about the positives and negatives of AI. Where have we been?
